I really loved how Giselle Clarkson reflected on her journey with children's books in this final comic piece, especially seeing her beautiful work on The Tiny Woman's Coat getting such lovely recognition internationally. It's fascinating to see an illustrator's inner thoughts laid out so genuinely, much like how a student might feel when they need a bit of help with Physiotherapy Assignment research to untangle a complex topic. Her illustrations have always brought so much warmth and detail to stories. I'm definitely going to miss seeing these regular comic instalments on the site, but I look forward to following wherever her creative drawing adventures take her next.
